Born in Hameln, Germany, Susan Stahnke became a ballet-girl at the age of 5. Later, she graduated from the "Royal Academy Of Dancing" in London with honors.
After having received her master diploma in economics and foreign languages and on the edge of becoming a professional dancer, Susan was offered to launch a television career as news anchorwoman. She hosted Europe's most watched news show, the market leader "Tagesschau" on ARD from 1992 until 1999.
Parallel, Susan was the star of several major entertainment shows on various channels which she partially moderated in 6 different languages. In 1999, she presented the "71. Academy Awards" from the red carpet in Hollywood for the private European network Pro 7.
During another documentary-shoot in Los Angeles, Susan Stahnke met with several producers who encouraged her to enter the American market. Due to her talent and beauty, she soon moved into acting and was as priviliged as to start working with one of the most admired and respected acting teachers in the world, Academy Award winner Martin Landau.
